UNDERGRADUATE TRAINEES:

If you are an Australian or international undergraduate student looking to secure a research training placement in the Capon Group, please visit the IMB Postgraduate website, and follow the instructions under TRAINEES. Each year the Capon Group hosts 2-4 undergraduate research trainees. For prospective international trainees, if accepted please be aware that you are responsible for all travel, accommodation and health care costs. The Capon Group is limited to providing support in the form of access to office and lab facilities, and supervision to undertake a mutually acceptable research project.

HONOURS STUDENTS:

If you are looking to undertake an Honours Research Project in the Capon group please visit the IMB Postgraduate website, and follow the instructions under the category HONOURS.

POSTGRADUATE (PhD) STUDENTS:

If you are an Australian or international student looking to secure a postgraduate (PhD) placement in the Capon Group, please visit the IMB Postgraduate website, and follow the instructions under POSTGRADUATE.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS: I

f you are interested in joining the Capon Group as a postdoctoral researcher please be aware that when vacancies arise they will be advertised. Unfortunately, cold calling is unlikely to coincide with spare funds (the challenges of managing a research budget I'm afraid). That said, if you have identified, are eligible, and are interested in applying to an external funding body for a postdoctoral research fellowship (i.e China Scholarship Council) based at IMB in the Capon Group, we would be happy to review your request, and if possible assist you. Each year the Capon Group hosts 1-2 externally funded postdoctoral fellows.

VISITING SCIENTISTS:

If you are an established academic looking to arrange a sabbatical visit, we are always very happy to review requests, and if possible host visits - subject to timing, duration, availability of space and mutually acceptable research interests.  If accepted please be aware that all visiting scientists are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and health care costs. Each year the Capon Group hosts 1-2 visiting scientists.
